So, as anticipated, the delightful Flat Feet yarn arrived today. I'm so excited by this new addition, and it looks even prettier in person. I couldn't make out the blue from the yarnomat photo, so that was a brilliant surprise.
It arrived in two squares - one per sock. And you're supposed to knit it straight from the flat (I know this as I have just now read the instructions) but I was so excited, and possibly overcome by the wonderful smell and feel that I frogged it immediately - with the grandiose idea of washing and blocking it straight away. Of course once I discovered just how much yarn goes into one of those, I changed my mind and decided to knit from the ball instead.
I was also going to wait until I finished my blue-green Tofutsies to start with this yarn, and I tried not to start, I promise, I really did. However (I think it was the yarn fumes again) by the time I got home from grocery shopping (hmm, maybe it was actually the stress of the shopping centre) all self restraint was gone and I have since ... well see for yourself.
It's sooo pretty and it knits up so well and feels so beautiful to work with. At the moment I am having visions of knitting everyone I know socks from Flat Feet yarn for birthday and/or Christmas. I can't wait to see what they look like finished. Damn work - I could knit all night if I didn't have to go and support my habit!!! It will of course be coming with me to work on during the day.
